We have a generous compensation plan that will pay you for every hour you work (not just the first 40) and a yearly bonus. To keep you up-to-date with your field or to allow you to expand in new directions, we offer tuition reimbursement, annual conference attendance, and reimbursement of fees for technical publications and professional societies. On top of all that, we also provide free coffee, soda, juice, fruit, candy and snacks.

In terms of community building, Kitware holds two major family-oriented events each year. A casual Summer Picnic, complete with bouncy houses, rock walls and barbeque, and a formal Holiday Party with a fun presentation by company executives. Spouses and children (and in the summer, even pets) are part of both events. In addition, numerous smaller events such as a trip to a concert or baseball game are held throughout the year. Kitware celebrates the birthdays of employees each month with a bagel party, and we have a monthly Wing Day and Sushi Day which brings employees together for lunch.

Community building is also fostered through our Technical Lunch program which brings together employees, as one group, to learn about an innovation in the field. Kitware provides the lunch, and either an employee or an outside collaborator presents their research to the team. This is an excellent opportunity for employees in the same field to learn about new advancements from his/her peers. Additionally, it cultivates cross-departmental communication and learning amongst the various functions within Kitware.
