As a research and development company our reputation is based on our employees, and we are proud to have an extraordinary team. Our employees have a passion for software development and scientific research. This shows not only in their work, but in their commitment to fostering the open source message in the next generation from teaching open source courses at local universities to mentoring students through the Kitware internship program. We are open source developers; therefore our desire is to simply have our projects take over the world. While this may be a radical goal, we know that when you bring together brilliant minds with a desire to conquer the world, amazing things happen. 

Our employees are driven to participate in their communities. On a global level, they often serve as conference chairs, committee members, and reviewers for the top conferences in their fields, and are on various editorial boards for technical journals. On a local level, you'll find them volunteering in elementary schools to teach robotics, serving as adjunct professors at area colleges, participating in 5K races that benefit local charities, performing with local arts groups and even organizing a company bike to work day.
