Zack Galbreath graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in December of 2004 with a B.S. in Computer Science & Philosophy. Among other topics, he studied artificial intelligence, computer vision, and parallel programming. During his senior year at RPI, Zack developed a system which demonstrated the usefulness of adaptability in problem solving agents.

Zack joined the Kitware team in February of 2005. Not long after joining Kitware, Zack began assisting the company as a systems administrator. In addition to these duties, Zack has contributed his time to a number of projects. These include VTK, the Insight Journal, the Wiki2Web content management system, and CDash.

Lately Zack has been working with the scientific visualization team at Kitware to improve ParaView: our open-source visualization application. Zack has also been working with a group of researchers at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to develop the FARSIGHT biological image analysis toolkit..
