Katie Sharkey joined Kitware in May 2011 as a Communications Specialist. She holds a B.A. in Professional and Academic Writing from the State University of New York at Potsdam and an M.A. in Public Communications from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY.

Prior to Kitware, Katie worked as a Senior Engineering Editor for GlobalSpec, Inc. There she worked with engineers to produce and manage technical written content and blogged for the company's community site, CR4.
