Nikhil joined Kitware as an intern in May 2009 where he works on Paraview under the supervision of Dr. Berk Geveci. His research interests lie in the area of systems development (operating systems, parallel and distributed operating systems, HPC and ubiquitous computing) applied primarily to scientific visualization and virtual reality technologies. His master's work focused on soft AI, machine learning and artificial life.

Nikhil is a PhD candidate from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he completed his MS in Computer Science. He has a BTech degree in Computer Science and IT from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in India.
