Kitware adds two books to its technical documentation product line
Kitware provides a variety of support services for several popular
open-source software systems. This includes the creation, publication,
and sale of technical books. Recently Kitware added two books:
"Mastering CMake" by Kitware personnel Ken Martin and Bill Hoffman; and
"The ITK Software Guide" with two authors also from Kitware (Luis and
Will Schroeder). The addition of these books brings to a total of four
books that Kitware produces ("The VTK User's Guide" and "The
Visualization Toolkit" are the other two). These books are available
from Kitware's estore as well as from Amazon.com.
Kitware, Inc. is a small, privately held company offering consulting,
products, and services in the areas of 3D graphics, visualization,
image processing, and volume rendering. Kitware develops advanced
software tools such as the widely used Visualization Toolkit (VTK) and
Insight Segmentation and Registration toolkit (ITK) systems. Kitware is
also developing other open source and proprietary software including
CMake, a cross-platform build environment, and VolView, an advanced
volume rendering and image analysis package. Kitware is located in
the Tech Valley region of New York State.
