Publication Database

The Publication Database is a digital repository for scientific papers and a computational infrastructure intended to facilitate the outreach activities of scientists. This instance of the Publication Database provides links to publications written by Kitware and publications related to Kitware projects.

Simple and easy to use, the Publication Database provides a streamlined way to update, present and share the current research and publishing activity of your institution. The Publication database is based on the MIDAS platform and is available for installation. To learn more about the technology behind Kitware’s Publication Database please visit www.midasplatform.org. For more information on the Publication Database, including information on how to implement the Publications Database at your site, please visit our product description page.

Learning and Recognizing Complex Multi-Agent Activities with Applications to American Football Plays

Swears E., Hoogs A.

Published on 01-Jan-2012

We present a novel approach to modeling and recognizing complex behaviors in video, where multiple agents are interacting in a time-varying manner and in a spatially-localized domain such as American football. This approach specifically addresses the issues presented by tracking errors which are common in dense spatio-temporal activities. Given a set of training examples for each activity type, multiple multi-variate kernel density estimates are used to learn the spatio-temporal descrip-tion of each activity. To capture object interactions over time, the kernel observation distributions are... [more]
