Kitware works with a variety of customers and collaborators. We offer several different working relationships, whether you want to team with us on a government proposal; collaborate on a commercial project; hire us as consultants and work alongside us during the development process; or simply provide a statement of work and let us handle the rest.

For government agencies and companies interested in working with our computer vision team, we can work on various types of projects and contracts. We work with large government organizations such as DARPA and IARPA, and can on accommodate classified projects or export-controlled material. We also team with other leading defense contractors, such as Honeywell or BAE Systems, on new government grants, as either the prime or subcontracted institution.

While Kitware has a focus on open-source software, we understand the sensitive nature of some computer vision projects and do work on closed, proprietary solutions. This enables us to contribute to the development of key tools and technology for U.S. military use. We offer a variety of contract options, from basic support to time and materials, or cost plus fixed fee, and we are happy to work with you to meet your specific needs.
