Kitware works with a variety of customers and collaborators. We offer several different working relationships, whether you want to team with us on a government proposal; collaborate on a commercial project; hire us to do custom technology integration and work alongside us during the development process; or simply provide a statement of work and let us handle the rest.

For companies and government organizations interested in working with our informatics team, we can accommodate various types of projects and contracts. We regularly team with research laboratories and other companies on NIH or DOE SBIR, STTR, or R01 grants to develop advanced informatics tools.

We also collaborate on commercial projects to integrate our current informatics tools into commercial software applications for various companies.

Kitware does not use restrictive reciprocal licenses, and so designing custom-built informatics applications on an open-source base enables us to address companies' specific information needs. These custom applications can involve open-source solutions or integration into proprietary products. We offer a variety of contract options, from basic support to time and materials, or cost plus fixed fee, and are happy to work with you to meet your needs.
