Case Studies

Ultrascale Visualization
UV-CDAT

The Climate Data Analysis Tools project is using ParaView in conjunction with other open-source tools to create a robust application for analyzing and visualizing climate data. These tools will enable analysts to track, monitor, and predict climate changes and develop solutions to climate challenges.

Kinetic Simulations of the Earth's Magnetosphere
SciberQuest Inc

Collaborative work with SciberQuest Inc: UCSD; SDSC; The Ohio State University; Los Alamos National Lab; UC Davis; NASA Goddard Space Flight Center; University of New Hampshire. The collaboration is focused on developing accurate forecasts of space weather through advanced visualization, analysis, and modeling. By harnessing the power of ParaView and massively parallel computing, researchers are able to analyze the data created by global kinetic simulations of the magnetosphere.

Idaho National Lab's CAVE
Idaho National Lab

ParaView is being used by Idaho National Laboratory's Computer-Assisted Virtual Environment (CAVE) enables researchers to be immersed in a 3D environment surrounded by their data, facilitating data interpretation in ways that traditional computers cannot provide.
