As datasets grow, and teams and resources become geographically dispersed, tools to enable collaborative, long-distance research play a critical role in scientific innovation. The necessity for frameworks that readily facilitate the sharing, analysis and visualization of large data over the web is becoming increasingly pressing.

Kitware has experience in developing applications to meet these needs in several fields. The backbone of these applications are our visualization and analysis algorithms used in VTK and ParaView. From this, we have developed frameworks to facilitate efficient and effective web visualization.

One web-visualization framework is based on ParaView, leveraging all the functionality of ParaView while using server-side rendering. We have also collaborated with the Department of Energy to provide functionality for their Ultrascale Visualization tool, which will play a critical role in future climate data storage and analysis.
