Andrew Matrai

Andrew Matrai is an R&D engineer on Kitware’s Computer Vision Team located in Clifton Park, New York. He works with a variety of different technologies and engineering platforms at Kitware, but primarily develops engineering solutions around machine learning. He is one of the core engineers on the Air Force Research Laboratory’s (AFRL) VIGILANT effort and is responsible for developing infrastructure and object detection algorithms. Much of this work has included working with geospatialized data and Synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) with unique challenges.

Andrew has also worked on other projects that made use of Kitware’s VIDTK and Girder. In addition, he has been involved in some of Kitware’s open source projects, such as working on the open source platform SMQTK.
