Connor Bowley is a senior R&D engineer on Kitware’s Medical Computing Team located in Carrboro, North Carolina. He assists with designing, developing, and improving Kitware’s medical image analysis, visualization, and simulation software. He can work across a wide range of computing environments, including Windows and Unix/OS X.

Prior to joining Kitware, Connor was an embedded software engineer at Collins Aerospace. He developed multithreaded, soft, real-time embedded networking for a software-defined radio intended to be deployed on next-generation warfighters.

Connor was also a graduate research assistant at the University of North Dakota. He worked with the Biology Department to identify and count snow geese in aerial images using computer vision and machine learning technology.

Connor received both his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in computer science from the University of North Dakota.
