Denise Hale is a senior contracts administrator on Kitware’s Contracts Team located in Clifton Park, New York. She assists with all aspects of the contracting lifecycle for government customers. Her responsibilities include reviewing solicitations, assisting in the preparation of proposals, negotiating contract terms with the government and its contractors, issuing and negotiating subcontracts, and providing post-award support.
Prior to joining Kitware, Denise was a Principal Contracts Professional at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) for a mission-critical nuclear propulsion plant project. She also spent seven years focusing on research and development projects and shipyard programs. During this time, she also held the position of Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO), where she represented NNL at the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Department of Defense SBIR conferences.
While at NNL, Denise also implemented a training and certification program that continues to benefit the contract professionals at NNL regardless of their level of experience.
Denise received her bachelor’s degree in world politics and Spanish language, with a minor in French language and literature, from the Catholic University of America in 1995. While working toward her minor in French language and literature, she studied abroad at the Université de Nantes in 1994.
