Camp KDE 2010 will be taking place from January 15-22, 2010. Camp KDE will feature interactions with KDE developers and users, talks and presentation, BoF sessions, and hackfests. The event is open to the public and is free, although registration is required.

Kitware’s Marcus Hanwell will be presenting a workshop at the conference on Sunday January 17 titled ‘CMake: Improving Software Quality and Process’. Marcus will introduce the CMake build system, then talk about testing, dashboards, how large projects like kdelibs can be sliced up into smaller pieces, new support for Git in the testing framework, and some discussion of how this workflow can help to give feedback to developers that do not have access to all of the platforms for which they are writing their code.

On Monday January 18, Marcus will also present a tutorial on the use of CMake.
