The main CVPR conference will take place from June 27 to June 30, 2016. During the exhibition of the conference, Kitware will be located at booth #302. At the booth, Anthony Hoogs, Matt Turek, Eran Swears, Zhaouhui Harry Sun, and Eric Smith will offer insights into computer vision technologies as well as opportunities for employment and collaboration. In particular, they will demonstrate capabilities in video tracking, event and activity detection, content-based video retrieval in surveillance and social multimedia, and super resolution. These capabilities are part of open-source solutions including Social Multimedia Query Toolkit (SMQTK) and the Kitware Image and Video Exploitation and Retrieval (KWIVER) toolkit. For a preview of the capabilities in action, watch the below video.
In addition to how to leverage these capabilities, be sure to inquire about open employment and internship opportunities at Kitware, including computer vision researcher and computer vision software developer.
Along with the main conference, CVPR will feature tutorials and workshops. The tutorials will occur on June 26, and workshops will take place on June 26 and July 1. On June 26th, Hoogs will present ‘Collaborative Computer Vision R&D at Kitware’ during the second poster session of VIEW 2016: Fifth Annual Vision Industry and Entrepreneur Workshop. The session will transpire from 10:30 am to 11:45 am. Hoogs will also speak at Workshop on Automatic Traffic Surveillance (ATS) on July 1st.
