Join Kitware in Boston at CVPR 2015!
Kitware will be attending and exhibiting at this year’s IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR). Look for us at the below events:

  • Kitware’s Computer Vision Booth
  • ‘Open Source Structure-from-Motion’ Tutorial
  • Invited talk on ‘Visual Profiling: Social Media and Surveillance for Commercial Intelligence’
  • Poster on ‘Collaborative Computer Vision R&D’ at the Fourth Annual VIEW Workshop!

CVPR is the premier international computer vision conference drawing attendees from academia and industry. The conference provides opportunities to learn more about computer vision and participate in workshops, tutorials, networking, and conference sessions.

Kitware is actively involved each year through papers, tutorials, workshops, and as a conference sponsor. Many of our computer vision experts will be in attendance this year and would be pleased to schedule a meeting to sit down and discuss computer vision applications and future growth, as well as employment opportunities within Kitware. Please reach out to us through kitware@kitware.com to set up an appointment!

Kitware is Exhibiting!
The booth will highlight Kitware’s area of expertise through live demonstrations and one-on-one discussions relating to potential collaboration, consulting services, and employment opportunities within the Kitware Computer Vision Team.

Be on the lookout for demos on:

  • Video Tracking
  • Event and Activity Detection
  • Content Based Video Retrieval in Surveillance and Social Multimedia
  • Super Resolution
  • Project Tango

Teasers include Social Multimedia Query Toolkit (SMQTK), our robust aerial and ground tracking capabilities and Project Tango’s Augmented Reality App ‘Measure It’!.

Project Tango is an effort by Google to create a mobile device capable of perceiving and understanding 3D space.  As part of this effort, the Project Tango team has led the development of an augmented reality app, Measure It, that performs measurements of real world objects. Kitware has contributed to this app by providing routines for interpolating sparse depth data provided by the SDK to support depth perception.

Don’t forget to check out our open-source toolkit for video analytics, the KitWare Image and Video Exploitation and Retrieval (KWIVER) Toolkit located at www.kwiver.org. Many of our capabilities are included in this toolkit, which will be continuously updated with new capabilites as they become open source!

Join our team!
Kitware is a fantastic work environment filled with organizational and individual growth and the opportunity to utilize and build upon your computer vision expertise.  We promote research and development and embrace a teaming environment filled with hard work and fun! We have immediate need for the following positions:
