The Federation of Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP) 2017 is taking place in Bloomington, IN from July 25 – 28. The ESIP Federation was founded in 1998 by NASA as a community of researchers and groups that build and interpret applications for Earth and environmental science data. The federation aims to make research data and information more accessible to decision and policy makers, as well as to the public. ESIP’s interdisciplinary and inclusive meetings are a member-led mix of plenary talks, breakout sessions, poster presentations, technical workshops, and networking opportunities about emerging and persistent topics in Earth science data.
Kitware’s Aashish Chaudhary presented a workshop titled ‘HDF Analytics’ on Tuesday, July 25 from 9:30am – 11:00am.
Workshop summary: HDF data from many scientific disciplines can be integrated into analytical tools for analysis and visualization on desktops and over the network. Analytical results can be saved to HDF for archive or distribution.
