Kitware’s paper at the upcoming International Conference on Pattern Recognition has been nominated for Best Industry-Related paper. Entitled ‘Personalized Economy of Images in Social Forums: An Analysis on Supply, Consumption, and Saliency’ by Sangmin Oh, Megha Pandey, Ilseo Kim, Anthony Hoogs and Jeff Baumes, it is one of four nominees from over 700 papers at the conference (although most are not industry-related). The authors of the nominated papers will participate in a plenary session panel discussion at the conference, where each will discuss the challenges and issues of doing research in an industry setting. The winner will be announced at the end of the panel. Anthony Hoogs will attend the conference, participate in the panel discussion, and present the paper.
If you are attending ICPR and wish to speak with Dr. Hoogs at the conference, please email him at anthony.hoogs@kitware.com.
