Abstract:
Researchers and physicians tend to use more and more mobile devices allowing them to work in various environments. Kitware wants to provides scientific visualization tools on the new generation of devices. In order to achieve this, we created the VES (VTK OpenGL ES Rendering Toolkit) library. VES is a lightweight platform for building interactive visualizations on mobile platforms by leveraging algorithms offered by VTK (The Visualization Toolkit) and rendering capabilities offered by current mobile hardware. This open-source toolkit is available on iOS, Android, and Linux platforms and provides all the features needed to create interactive visualization applications.
