Alexis Girault will provide insights and instruction on NIRFAST-Slicer at the workshop, which will be held prior to the start of The Optical Society (OSA) 2016 Biomedical Optics Congress in conference room 307 of the Hilton Miami Downtown.

NIRFAST-Slicer is an application for optical imaging research that combines the capabilities of NIRFAST and 3D Slicer. The workshop will begin with a hands-on introduction, during which participants will load, generate, and import magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data for a full head mesh. The workshop will then cover small animal image-guided fluorescence tomography and MRI-NIR breast tomography.

NIRFAST-Slicer 1.0 was released in January 2016. For an overview of the release, please read ‘Introducing NIRFAST-Slicer 1.0.’
