Haocheng received his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2016. While attending school, he worked as a research assistant in the university Visual Design and Engineering Laboratory and the Biothermal Technology Laboratory. His research areas were computational design, computer graphics, and geometric modeling. He has worked on developing a technique to predict tumor deformation via fiducial marks for Interstitial photodynamic therapy (I-PDT). He has also constructed a beam-search-based framework to automatically partition a surface mesh model for three-dimensional printing. The majority of his research has been conducted on grants from the National Institutes of Health.
Haocheng joined Kitware in June of 2016 as an R&D Engineer.
