Corey Wetterer-Nelson

Corey Wetterer-Nelson, Ph.D. is a senior R&D engineer who works remotely on Kitware’s Scientific Computing Team. He contributes to our scientific visualization efforts, including designing and developing end-user tools for data analysis and visualization. He also helps maintain and expand our visualization toolkits and applications, such as the Visualization Toolkit (VTK) and ParaView.

Corey received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder (CU) in 2021. In 2017, he also received his master’s degree in mechanical engineering from CU. Corey received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Portland in 2015.
