CDash is Kitware's open-source, web-based software testing server that aggregates, analyzes, and displays the results of software testing processes. CDash is a critical tool in Kitware's software development process, as it conveys the state of the toolkits we contribute to through a user-friendly dashboard, and provides feedback to enable us to further improve software quality. CDash is part of our software process that integrates CMake, CTest, and CPack, as well as other external packages.
In addition to developing CDash, Kitware also hosts projects to provide simple access to the CDash testing environment. This testing environment enables other developers to take advantage of Kitware's practical software process. Rooted in extreme programming and test-driven development, this process is low-overhead and streamlined to result in high-quality software.
