Caitlin is originally from North Carolina and moved to the area to start her PhD in computer science at RPI. During grad school, she worked on the ROSS (https://ross-org.github.io/) and CODES (https://github.com/codes-org/codes) discrete event simulation frameworks, which aim to help with the codesign of next generation supercomputer systems. Caitlin’s thesis work was largely focused on developing analysis and visualization tools to help us understand and improve the parallel performance of our simulations. She also spent 6 months working on her thesis at Argonne National Lab after receiving an award from the DOE Office of Science Graduate Research Program. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, video games, hiking, and crossfit.
