Josh Anderson is an R&D engineer working remotely on Kitware’s Computer Vision Team. Josh is a software developer and collaborates with researchers on projects related to machine learning, artificial intelligence, and computer vision.
Prior to joining Kitware, Josh was a research engineer at the Southwest Research Institute from 2017-2020. He developed software drivers and ground support software for multiple space avionics programs.
Josh received his master’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2020. In 2017, he received a double bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and computer engineering from North Carolina State University.

What is your favorite thing about working at Kitware? I was drawn to Kitware by the variety of projects being done and how much everyone seems to enjoy working with one another. It seems like everyone loves what they do.
What do you love most about what you do? I really enjoy the satisfaction I get from solving a challenging problem. It makes the work I do rewarding.
Share something interesting about yourself that is not on your resume. I love to run and be outdoors. When I’m not running, I’m probably playing video games or watching football.
