October 22-27, 2023 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in Melbourne, Australia

VIS 2023 is the premier forum for advances in visualization and visual analytics. The conference focuses on advances in theory, methods, and applications of visualization and visual analytics and attracts an international community of researchers and practitioners from universities, government, and industry to exchange recent findings on the design and use of visualization tools.

Kitware is proud to be a Silver sponsor of VIS 2023. As regular sponsors of the conference, we remain committed to supporting the visualization community through our open source visualization tools. Through our interaction with the visualization research community, our tools such as ParaView, Slicer, VTK remain innovative and cutting-edge.

In addition to supporting the conference, we also want to recognize our long-time collaborators who had papers accepted at the conference. “Technology Trends and Challenges for Large-Scale Scientific Visualization” by James Ahrens from Los Alamos National Laboratory reviews the latest technology trends that are changing the status quo and presenting the scientific visualization community with a new set of challenges.

“A Distributed-Memory Parallel Approach for Volume Rendering with Shadows,” by Manish Mathai, Matthew Larsen, and Hank Childs (Fig. 1), and “Sub-Linear Time Sampling Approach for Large-Scale Data Visualization Using Reinforcement Learning,” by Ayan Biswas, Arindam Bhattacharya, Yi-Tang Chen, and Han-Wei Shen, were also accepted as part of the Large Data Analysis and Visualization (LDAV) Workshop at IEEE VIS.
