Announcing Kitware’s 2025 Open Door Scholarship Recipient: Dalinzco Pettiway

We are thrilled to announce that Dalinzco Pettiway, a recent graduate of Troy High School in Troy, New York, is the recipient of Kitware’s 2025 Open Door Scholarship!

At Kitware, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to pursue a passion for software engineering by pursuing a degree in computer science. We understand that for many high school seniors, financial or societal barriers can make this path feel out of reach. Kitware’s Open Door Scholarship was created to help change that by providing financial support, mentorship, and encouragement to students as they pursue their degrees and bring their unique perspectives, talents, and creativity to the field.

Dalinzco stood out to the scholarship selection committee through his enthusiasm for learning, his drive to create, and his curiosity about how technology works. This fall, he will be pursuing a degree in computer science at the University at Buffalo.

We are honored to support Dalinzco through the Open Door Scholarship and look forward to seeing how he continues to grow and thrive in the years ahead.
