Introduction to 3D Slicer: A Beginner's Course
This beginner course will introduce participants to the fundamental aspects of 3D Slicer, a free and open source software package for image analysis and scientific visualization. The course will guide participants in understanding the software interface, data loading and visualization functionality, and segmentation and registration capabilities.
Objectives
- Familiarize participants with the 3D Slicer interface and basic tools
- Enable participants to load, view, and manipulate medical imaging data
- Learn the basic applications of 3D Slicer in medical imaging processing, including segmentation and registration
Prerequisites
- Basic understanding of medical imaging
- Basic understanding of computer graphics and visualization
Agenda
This course covers 4 hours of material, which can be divided into shorter sessions around your availability.
Our Recommendation: For onsite courses, we recommend either one 4-hour day of instruction or two 2-hour sessions on consecutive days. For an online course, we can accommodate a variety of schedules, including one 4-hour day, or 2-hour sessions held on two consecutive days.
