Sadhana is a senior R&D engineer on Kitware’s Medical Computing Team located in Carrboro, North Carolina. Sadhana contributes to the development of image analysis and machine learning algorithms for various medical computing and computer science projects.
Sadhana received her Ph.D in bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania under the supervision of Dr. Paul Yushkevich in the Penn Image Computing and Science Lab. After defending her thesis, she worked in the lab as a postdoctoral researcher. She focused on developing medical image analysis and machine learning algorithms for analyzing neurodegeneration in early brain regions affected by Alzheimer’s disease using ex vivo magnetic resonance imaging and histopathology data. Sadhana received her master’s in biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and her bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
