Taylor Sasser

Taylor Sasser is an R&D engineer on Kitware’s Software Solutions Team. His work supports the development and refinement of CMake, and he collaborates closely with customers to improve and scale build systems for large C++ and mixed-language projects.

Before joining Kitware, Taylor worked as a graduate research assistant at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he optimized CUDA-managed memory and GPU driver architecture to improve resource utilization for high-performance computing tasks. He also served as a teaching assistant for a Parallel and Distributed Computing course and as an undergraduate research assistant, where he developed high-throughput cryptographic algorithms using GPUs. Taylor previously worked as a full-stack developer at MRO Electric, where he led the development of their e-commerce platform and implemented tools to improve inventory management and customer support.

Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science in Informatics and Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Programming and Development from Wake Technical Community College. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Informatics and Computer Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
