Vincenzo DiMatteo is a machine learning engineer on Kitware’s computer vision team. In this role, he contributes his strong programming skills to the development of robust solutions for real-world problems and is responsible for validating, optimizing, and deploying advanced machine learning algorithms.

Before joining Kitware full-time, Vincenzo worked as a research and development intern at Kitware, where he contributed to the Geographic Wide Area Terrestrial Change Hypercube (GeoWatch) project, assisted with optimization techniques for point-based annotations, and participated in continual learning research focused on transferring weights between neural network models. He also served as a graduate assistant researcher in the Machine Vision Lab at Rutgers University, where he worked on the EgoCampus dataset, assisted in the development of fixation models, and collaborated on machine learning research involving segmentation and contrastive ensemble learning.

Vincenzo earned an M.S. in machine learning from Rutgers University, where he also completed a graduate certificate in cybersecurity. He previously earned a B.S. in electrical and computer engineering, with a minor in computer science, from Rutgers University, graduating with highest honors.
