Justin Manion is an R&D engineer on Kitware’s software and data solutions team. In this role, he contributes to software research and development efforts across a variety of projects. Justin is interested in building high-quality software with a focus on testing, maintainability, and long-term reliability.

During his undergraduate studies, Justin was an active contributor to Submitty, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s open source course management system. He later served as the team lead, where he mentored contributors and helped guide the project’s development. Justin also interned in the Technology Center at Stewart’s Shops, providing technical support to stores across the company’s network.
